As the new season approaches, the Spring Creek Campus Boys Basketball team is focused, hungry, and ready to prove themselves. With a young roster and a growing identity, players say this year is all about improvement, chemistry, and competing every night.
Junior guard Demetrius Moore says his goals go beyond scoring. “I want to get better every week and play smarter, defend harder, and be consistent,” he said. Off the court, he’s focused on keeping his grades up and setting an example for younger students. Moore also pointed out teammate Emmanuel as a breakout player to watch, saying the two put in major offseason work and are ready to lead.

Senior Isaiah Wilson highlighted his improved confidence and strength, saying he can now make quicker decisions and finish through contact better than he could last year.
Versatile guard and Senior Amir Moe is zeroing in on shooting consistency and becoming a lockdown defender. He also noted that the team’s biggest challenge will be staying disciplined because of how young the roster is. “We’ll overcome it by communicating better and trusting Coach’s plays,” he said.
High energy guard Matthew Nunez brings vocal leadership and pace to the floor. “I talk on defense, push the tempo, and try to keep everybody locked in,” he said.
Team chemistry is another bright spot early on. Jayden Richards said practices have brought the group closer. “We’re starting to move like one unit instead of separate players,” he said.
When it comes to must watch matchups, Justin Romain already has one circled: the rivalry game against East New York Family Academy. “The energy is always crazy,” he said. “It feels like a playoff game.”
Mental preparation is key for players like Senior Tilon Yisrael, who relies on a simple routine: headphones, stretching, and reminding himself to stay calm and aggressive.
Looking ahead, Pharrell Pilgram says success isn’t just about the final record. “A successful season means we grew, we competed, and we left everything on the court,” he said. “Wins matter, but improvement matters more.”
With rising confidence, growing chemistry, and leaders emerging across the roster, Spring Creek Campus Boys Basketball team appears ready to take a major step forward this season.
