Just last month, bachata superstars Romeo Santos and Prince Royce began a worldwide tour together, with the first stops here in the United States. In fact, they toured in the New York City area on April 19 in Long Island and on April 22 in Newark. This tour is furthering their partnership after their collaboration album “Better Late Than Never” was released in November 2025.
The King of Bachata Romeo Santos collaborated with Prince Royce on a 13 song album that was a huge surprise to fans of both artists. For many years, fans were waiting on a song collaboration between Romeo and Royce, but instead of one song, they decided to make an entire album.
EsenDom wrote, “In the midst of Latin music’s global boom, two sons of The Bronx with Dominican roots decided to do the unthinkable in the era of leaks and TikTok previews: work for years, in silence, on a joint album without a single note being leaked.”
Schön Magazine wrote, “Better Late Than Never’ is an album that has been years in the making – since 2017 to be precise – and traces the careers of the two legendary singers.”
In a joint interview with Billboard, Romeo said, “Many people will likely say, “Why did you take so long?” The answer is simple: better late than never. We also wanted a song that would pay tribute to the title. That’s why there’s a song that’s literally called “Better Late Than Never”.
Prince Royce added, “I think the title couldn’t have been a better title, you know it’s like, better late than Never, you know. You have any negative thing to say about “why did we take so long?” Better late than never! You know? “Why an album?” Why not? Better late than never.”
Fans had their say too: A fan on social media commented, “We got a Romeo and Royce collab before GTA 6.”
