Raphia Desouza is a junior at AFYW from Brooklyn. She is passionate about creating, makeup, and art. She hopes to achieve comfort and independence. One obstacle Raphia overcame is getting out of her shell and being more confident in her environment. One thing she loves about journalism is how it changed the amount of knowledge she had in school.
